We took a trip up to Boston and some surrounding areas for a little getaway and had a blast. We were able to see some my aunt and ucle and cousins in Scarborough as well as take in all the sites. Although it was real cold at 5:30 in the morning, we were able to go to the top of Cadillac Mountain and be the first ones to see the sunset on North America.

Fenway was amazing! Boston was great and cruising around the coast of Maine was beautiful. We went at the perfect time in the fall. Beth officially made Lobster Rolls her favorite sandwich. And for anyone going to the Boston area, Mike's Pastry is a place you have to stop at.

May has been fun and crazy... The crazy: Beth just told me that with work, travel and upcoming events, we will be spending 11 days together in all of May. With only a few days, what better way to spend them than having fun.

The Fun: Big hats, fancy dresses, bowties, food, and horses. Everyone got dressed up in their derby finest and even Andrew and Kristin made it up to partake in the fun. The Kohns and McGees hammed it up for photos in the backyard. No real betting took place, but the clear winner was Jeff Mavros dressed as a jockey.

Everyone had fun and Beth outdid herself again with all of the cooking.

Beth recently spent time on the West Coast for work and while she was out there, I popped over to spend the weekend with her. We got to visit my Uncle Jim, saw the sights, including the Wharf, rode a trolley and took kayaks out to McCovey Cove. We did not catch a homerun, but listening to the crowd and being on the water was well worth it. All in all, the trip was great and we had so much fun taking a mini vacation.

Beth surprised me by taking me back to KC for the Westport St Patrick's Run, which has become a tradition since we started the whole exercising/running kick. What I wasn't aware of was the surprise party she threw for me to "re-celebrate" being 30. It was nice to see some old faces that we hadn't seen in a while. I truly appreciated everyone that could make it.

My favorite gift from the whole weekend was the pre-made 'Clint-Heads' which were handed out as party favors to everyone as I crossed the finish line at the end of the race. The 'Clint-Heads' made it out for most of the evening and we still have plenty at home if anyone needs wallpaper, doggy chew toys or wedding/birthday gifts. Warning: These gifts are not to be given to women.

Whoa Mexico!

We had the chance to go see our friends Chris and Melissa get married in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We had a blast! The wedding was beautiful and it was a great time to be in Cabo during the below freezing weather in Bloomington-Normal. Beth also got a chance to see her old roommates Maggie and Lacey. We all had fun and it was a great but short weekend away.

Clint celebrated his 30th birthday this year. Andrew McLaughlin and Kristin Spence came up to visit and we spent the new year at Killarney's Pub with Jordan and Ciarra. Fun and debachery were had and we capped off the evening with Clint's favorite birthday dinner tradition of eating 'Chop Chop' (aka a Japanese Steakhouse where they cook your meal in front of you). Clint has been doing this since he was a wee little tike. (Makes you wonder how long these types of restaurants have been around)

Christmas

Our first Christmas in Normal was a great one! Beth's father came over and spent the week with us. Clyde did his best impression of "The Christmas Beagle, Charlie Brown!" and Beth, her father and I all opened up presents and enjoyed each other's company.

I thought it would be a good idea to start this site so our friends and family could catch up with what we have been up to in "the Land of Lincoln." I hope you enjoy it, we have highlighted some things we have done over the past year. High School Football

Friday I got to go back to Omaha to see my little? brother Ryan play for the State Championship in high school football. They won 21-8. It was a pretty proud moment for the family, especially Ryan(the picture will probably be the Christmas Card). Mom tells me Ryan has been walking around the house with his medal on.

KU-NU and old friends

We went back for the annual KU vs NU football game only to watch our Jayhawks lose and Clint get sick in his sister's new apartment. We think it was a bad Husker Dog. (Damn you Huskers!)

We have been lucky enough to meet some really fun people here. On Halloween we dressed up as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie or "Brangelina". As you can see we tied some babies to each of us. We had a lot of fun that night.
